Bhawanipatna (Swastideep Aditya) : The Silver Jubilee of Panchayat High School, Sarian, under Narla Block of Kalahandi District was inaugurated with a grand ceremony. The programme was organised under the chairmanship of Former Student Council President Om Prakash Chhatria. Narla MLA Manorama Mohanty attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the ceremony. Kalahandi District Education Officer Radhakant Chhatri was the special guest, Narla BEO Tapimani Jani was the speaker, while Narla Block Chairman Durga Prasad Mohanty and Baidyaraj Pabitra Sabar were the guests of honour. Former student Mihir Kumar Bhoi introduced the guests. On this occasion, a souvenir titled 'Namami' was released. Members of the founding committee were honoured. Former Student Sudhir Kumar Dhangadamajhi conducted the stage proceedings, while Soumya Susmita Bhoi proposed the vote of thanks. The event began with a mashal procession from the Sarian Jagannath Temple, accompanied by chariots and various musical instruments, which reached the stage. In the second session, Guru Pujan and Bandhu Milan were held. Alumni Association Vice President Bijaya Dhangadamajhi, Manoj Patnaik and Raghunath Deep; General Secretary Ramesh Chandra Sahu; Advisors Binayak Mahanta, Jemanta Podh, Ajit Kumar Sahu, Paraswar Rana and Makaranda Majhi; Joint Secretaries Rina Bhoi, Achyutananda Bhoi and Somyaranjan Sa; Treasurer Narottam Karuan; Members Chandra Shekhar Sahu and Himadri Bhoi; members of all the sub-committees of the Association; and former students cooperated in making the programme a success.
