Balangir (Ganesh Das) On the occasion of observing the aspect of gender violence, the district level awareness day was celebrated under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Shri Gaurav Shivaji Ishalwar, IAS, Balangir at the National Health Mission Hall. Shri Chandi Prasad Khamari, Associate Professor, Yudhishthira Mishra Law College, Balangir, created awareness on gender violence. The awareness meeting was attended by District Chief Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sahu, District Medical and Chairman, Balangir District Head Hospital, Dr. Parvat Kumar Dash, Chairman, Patnagarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, Dr. Jayan Swain, District Social Welfare Officer Smt. Sushma Mohapatra, Additional District Public Health Officer Dr. Sudhabarla, Additional District Public Health Officer Dr. Siddhaswar Majhi, Additional District Public Health Officer Dr. Namita Mishra, In-charge District Public Health Communication Officer Shri Manoj Kumar Padhan, District Project Manager, National Health Mission, Shri J. Rajeswar Rao Patnaik, District Accounts Manager, National Health Mission, Shri Falguni Sahu, Deputy Director Prajayan Child Health, National Health Mission, Shri Bhagwan Meher, Epidemic Specialist Shri Avinash Thakur, Assistant Manager - Information, Education and Communication and Training, Shri Kavindra Jena, Assistant Manager - LAIS, Shri Prakash Kumar Patra and other district and block level departmental officers participated. Finally, a pledge was taken by all the participants to not commit gender based violence.
