Koraput : The 31st annual festival of Koraput Saraswati Sishu Vidya Temple has been held. Minister of Commerce, Transport, Mines and Steel Shri Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, who was the chief guest, delivered a speech to the students saying that reformation in life is a priceless asset. The festival was presided over by the chairman of the school management committee Shri Prafulla Kumar Mishra. Minister Bibhuti inaugurated the festival. The minister said that the role of parents is important for the mother tongue and the overall development of the child. Koraput MLA Raghunath Machha was present as the guest of honor and said that it is necessary to receive education under the guidance of the Guru. Professor Narasingh Charan Panda, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Odisha, joined as the guest of honour and opined that the education system of Sishu Vidya Mandir provides for the overall development of the child. Poet, fiction writer and columnist Shri Chandra Vijayi Mishra joined as the keynote speaker. Matric toppers were awarded certificates and The champion sportsperson was awarded. Principal Alekchandra Dora read out the annual report. Among others, the school management committee Secretary Bibhudatta Mohapatra, vice-president Prabhakar Das, treasurer N. Ramesh, Joint secretary Sasmitarani Behera, member Prahlad Sahu and member Sumalata Behera were prominently present. All the teachers of the school were seen cooperating.
